I guess this story has been top secret.
Good on him, the kid wanted to go, the MOD got him out there without the jackals finding out. Good work.
Now of course, we will have a week of media frenzy :damn:

Glad to see that he got to go in the end. He wanted to join and be able to fight, not sit in a headquaters and stick pins in a map. :yep:
He will forced to come home now, but he will try and sneak back again in the near future I think!

Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Prince Harry has been an “exemplary” soldier, adding: “The whole of Britain will be proud of the outstanding service he is giving.”
When was the last time the PM said something like that for the regular grunts? :shifty:

Yes good on him. But as I said in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=131877
The British media here in the UK are reporting that the story was leaked by an American news gossip website named the Drudge Report. Perhaps a more apt name would be the Sludge Report. What a pack of morons whoever was responsible. :nope: :nope: :nope:
Okay just read this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2008/02/28/wdrudge128.xml
And here is the scumbags who broke the news: http://www.drudgereport.com/flashph.htm
I think Mr Matt Sludge Drudge should be put on the first plane to Helmand province, Afghanistan to experience some cold hard realities.  What a twat he is.

Big salute to Harry.
No doubt about it. He is a man, doing what men do when their country calls. He did it without fanfare. He went to school to learn to lead men in battle and thats what he is doing.
Now media, forget about him and let him do his duty

:up:way to go,
he is making a good example, and also a good morale boost for the troops showing that he is one of them.
and that the Taliban now knows he is there, he better carry some extra ammo;)

John Snow of Channel 4 news was interviewing the editors society about the deal and was being a real arshole. He thinks everyone should know everything....
He is coming home.
I don't believe the press should had been with there agreement hush hush for the last ten weeks. So what if he is the bullet magnet, stop poncing around and let Harry do his job and serve his country.
Ridiculous !! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7270743.stm
I AM IN A REALLY FOUL MOOD NOW! http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon8.gif http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon8.gif http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon8.gif http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon8.gif http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon8.gif

No, I know what he is like and I refuse to watch CH4 news just like the BBC news both are as bad as each other.

Being a Prince, it's a good question.
I think it's great that he got to go. Better than sitting in England and listening to that crazy guy go on about his mother all the time. I may not be an englishman, but still, it would be an honour and a privelage to be in the princes unit. Next time he goes somehwere, more should be done to keep it hush hush. Let the lad make his own choices in life.
Besides, we are in Afghanistan for all the right reasons.

I'd think the majority of the coalition forces were 'bullet magnets' as far as the Taliban is concerned. Its good to see that a member of the Royal Family is at least trying to get off his ass and do something. Good luck to him.
It pisses me off too to see that the bloody jackals have made the MOD bring him back, I'd like to find the bloke who ran that website article and drop him in the middle of Tora Bora, see who long the profiteering gutter snipe lasts.
The more I read about Harry, the more I like the guy, he's just wanting to serve his country and get away from all the red tape and press back in the UK, and I really can't blame him. As he said himself, 'this is the closest to normality I'll ever get'.
So good on you Harry, I'll support you if you want to stay there, just keep doing what you're doing.
Oh, and apparently Queen Liz was one of the driving forces to get him out there, she's quite up on the military apparently, more than meets the eye that one ;)

Agreed.....but I also spare a thought on the effect it might have on his unit with regard to the extra effort the Taliban would probably put in to getting at him http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/621/thinkbigsw1.gif
True, now that the cat is out of the bag, his unit is in for a pounding. :nope:
Just give me a shotgun and a plane ticket to the US...I won't take anyone else down, not even Dubya, I promise...just that one guy... :x

Agreed and as far as i'm concerned you can have him. Matt Drudge is his name.
