There's a link on the Drudgereport.com saying Nader to run. I can't post the link now. I meet him (Nader) in high school. He's an interesting guy, I don't really agree with him, but he'd be great in the democratic debate, because he's an outsider to the system.

Please note the "Who will be the next President" topic as I touched base on this when it first came out on the wire.

Not wanting to praise Bush or Gore, but all those Democrats who complain about Bush as president forgot that it was Nader that drew power away from Gore, giving Bush the edge he needed to win in 2000. Any Democrat that wants to have their party win needs to think about Nader's late entry into this fracas, and what happened in 2000.
Otherwise, I suspect McCain will win.

The guy has run before under the Green party and was blamed for tilting the vote enough that Bush won his first term in 2000... despite the Gore/Bush/Supreme Court/State of Florida debacle. He has no political base and is running as a "wild card" of sorts, depending on the "popular vote" to elect him. He and Ross Perot have been "spoilers" in past elections.
On the upside, having a bit of an unknown is not a bad thing, makes the race more interesting and brings forth new issues not "party motivated". On the other hand, the US needs to get some serious leadership into the Oval Office, and Nader doens't have an ice cubes chance in hell of winning. :shifty:
Any Democrat that wants to have their party win needs to think about Nader's late entry into this fracas, and what happened in 2000. Nader is crazy like a fox. He waited until the field narrowed before he threw his hat into the ring. Now instead of 12 candidates in which his campaign would be "backpage news", he's up against 4 and getting better media...

Of course Gore only lost the Electoral college vote. A system, which in my opinion, is outdated and no longer needed.
He won the Popular vote, but it was a damn close call. I honestly do no know why Nader is running again. He has never even come close, Hopefully he will screw up McCains votes, but I doubt that will be the case, in stead yes, he will screw up Clinton/Obama whoever gets the Primary. All I at least can hope is that they have enough support to defeat McCain, but of course, predict all you want, we will not know the outcome until it happens.
