I haven't seen any thread on this yet (I might've missed it, wouldn't be the first time), but as far as I know, this thingy is happening tomorrow (Sunday). Am I right?

So I just wanna see, if anyone has any views and thoughts about what movie should win what prize, etc.

For more information:
http://www.imdb.com/features/rto/2008/oscars

Personally, I think that There will be blood should win pretty much every Oscar it's nominated to. I saw that movie today, and was totally blown away:o

Have never sat through an awards show. The votes are politically motivated, and the winners are often not the ones who did the best job.

Yeah I know...I mean, "Downfall" is a good example...but still, I thought that since it's pretty much the biggest movieprize out there, I thought someone might be interested in teh results...

The first academy awards program was in 1925 and it lasted 15 minutes. It has gone down hill since then :)

What are they up to now? 3-4 hours!!!

Rambo 4, FTW! Maybe for the 81st academy awards.

The 50cal beretta sniper rifle totally kicked butt in this movie. Oh and when did they make a mini nuke claymore :rotfl:When that went off i laughed at the massive explosion. :)

I like Daniel Day Lewis for best actor, but I really did not care for that movie all that much.

No Country For Old Men gets my vote, not that it counts for anything.

Rambo for president!

Btw, the claymore was detonated on top of the huge WW2-bomb they found in the forrest.

Yeah, I vote for Rambo.

although, I think these shows are silly. Hollywood-types are the people who are still trying to be voted most popular in the high-school year book.:shifty:

I'm still grudging the Academy for overlooking Contact in 1998. :shifty:

Sounds astonishingly like a description of that celebration of bad music the Eurovision Song Contest!

Gaydolf Titler as the forgotten presidential candidate of 1944 is my favorite Jon Stewart line of the night so far.

It was a new record for a film for Razzies. "I know who killed me" got one more than showgirls and battlefield earth!
