wadup i'm new to this forum. I just bought silent hunter 4 wolves of the pacific but my game keeps crashing when the loading bar get to the end, when I click on a single player mission.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have a windows xp dell computer

First try this website http://www.srtest.com/referrer/srtest

It will check to see if your computer can run the game.

Im suspecting an incompatible video card.

Look for and find a file called dxdiag.exe on your computer and run that. Copy / paste the results into a text file and post them.

There is also the system info applet under accesories/system tools of windows (xp at least).

Right click on My Computer, select Properties, this will give you RAM, Processor Info. As well, from the pic below, select hardware, then system devices, there you can find info out with regards to your Video and Sound cards.

This is not a crash to desktop when trying to load a new game correct? You say you are crashing to desktop when you try to begin a single mission?

Have you installed any mods?

It sounds to me like something may have gotten corrupt upon installation and/or patching. You could always do an uninstall and reinstall. I had to! :)

Wow formatting tore that up.

But as I suspected you hve a video card that does not support pixel shading.

Its hard to find this out after youve bought a product but hey if your going to game on pc nearly all new titles require it anyways.

Good luck
