Headed out into the channel in my schnellboot.
got jumped by a town class destroyer, i turned tail and ran as i was seriously out gunned. He is in HOT persuit and shelling all around me and we are within 20 miles of the french coast. I have plotted a course for Brest, and have been firing off distress calls and managed to get a couple of HE-111s to show up but it did little good.
it appears as if the forward turret has run itself out of shells.
Im goign to see how close to brest he will persue!
:arrgh!:

If he follows you all the way in there's a couple of surprises for him, and I'm not talking about the minefields...
I think it's in 1941 that Scharnhorst, Gneisenau and Prinz Eugen are in Brest
Imagine the look on that captains face when he plows right into those :o

well he had fired so many shots at me that his forward turret was out of ammo.
when we rounded the corner into brest, there was a mine sweeper and a commerce raider heading in to port.
they both opened fire at him and he closed within enough range to engage with the stern turret but it wasnt enough. they blew him to pieces. :rotfl:
that was a 2 hour run at flank speed for my schnell boot and it cost me nearly all my fuel... glad i made it within quitting distance of Brest!

its a sticky over on the mods section of the forum....
the Schnell boot mod replaces the Type IIA with a Schnell boot fully operational with 3 AA guns and 4 torpedoes
Dash in on targets at up to 40 knots, and when the destroyers become aware that you have made your attack - speed away as they try to retaliate with their shells flying past you and you outrun them from the scene. :arrgh!:

What a trip...2 hours of running at flank speed...that would be enough to keep the adrenaline going.....
Interesting, will have to try it one of these days

let alone with shells splashing around you for most of that time and a town class in hot persuit
