I find that the game sounds are pretty quiet through my Klipsch speakers. As such, when I fire up SH4, I pull out my super-great Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 headphones (best headphones ever).

What does everyone else do?

I hooked up a Bose Speaker System. Let' just say the sounds of gun fire got some neighbours thinking.

Not as of yet but I sure would love more suggestions on a good headset from people using them. I have an awesome 5.1 surround system but the PC is in the living room with the TV and the darn kids crank it :stare:

Avgear surround sound headphones for me. True immersion and as loud as I like. My dear wife complained about machine gunning in Call of Duty and MOHAA

Right now I'm not really playing per se. I use the cheap speakers I bought years ago. I'll probably use headphones when I get serious again.

I use Zalman 5.1 surround headphones, but those are on the way out. I'll be getting a set of Medusa 5.1's with my tax return.

Bose home theater system.

But if I do use headphones it will be my Sony MDR-7506 Studio Monitor . . . excellent rich sound and the most comfortable ever. Only about $100. I just bought a pair for work . . . the ones I have at home are over 15 years old and still work (the cushion around the ears has almost disintegrated, though).

Always have had a decent amp hooked to my PC and use Headphones. But went wireless with a few years back and can’t go back to wired head phones.

I can getup and walk around and not tear my head off from the cord. Its nice on a trip to the fridge so I can still hear any calls by the crew. And the sound is so much more immersive without the outside noise.

A pair of sony headphones does the trick for me. At least my wife doesn't complaine about the diving alarm!

A pair of El Cheapo Philips headphones. My trusty old Sony finally kicked the bucket (wire is cut somewhere to the left earpiece). I use them not only for the immersion factor, but also cause I don't want to annoy the hell out of my g/f ;)
