Has anyone experienced the never ending patrol? Here is my situation:
Transferred from Pearl Harbor to Brisbane. Yadda Yadda. Been at sea for about 3 months. Last orders to patrol Solomon Islands. Recieved orders to RTB. Got to Bisbame cannot end patrol. SO, I refit and returned to SI's. Sank some more destroyers. RTB and still can't end patrol (completed all mission objectives).
Any ideas?
As a side curiosity - has anyone experienced the The Flying Japanese Dutchman in Rabaul? Very trippy.

Sounds like your base changed during your patrol, with 1.4 your new base is represented by a slanted anchor.

RDP is correct, but if you're not fully patched, then before you next open SH4, go to:
mydocuments/sh4/data/cfg/savegames/<savegame folder>/careertrack.upc
search the text for CSS_BaseChange
The base that you can dock at looks like this:
[CareerTrack 1.CareerStatusSave 29]
ID=ID
Reason=CSS_BaseChange
NameDisplayable=
CurrentDate=1942-04-24 00:00:00
BaseIDLink=Brisbane
So in this case, your Base will be Brisbane.

BREAKING NEWS!
War in the Pacific has ended on May 1942 by none other than BCOSTD1! With his trusty boat he single-handedly sank the entire IJN force.:rotfl::rotfl:
I'm jealous that's all.:smug:

Another thing to note is...
If you radio in with munitions (torpedoes) left you WILL be given new orders regardless of location or fuel status or how long you have been out.
If you radio in with few or no torpedoes (1 or 2) you will not be given new orders and its time to come home.

The above is a bit incorrect. I had no torps and still I got an order telling be to go on another mission. That's with TM.
