I'm skeptical on it, but it's still pretty cool, and some can be pretty hard to explain. Perhaps there is something to it... supernatural or not...

Dowly likes ghosts. :yep: Cant wait for Ghost Hunter's season 4 to begin!

Here's a compilation of what they have supposedly caught on camera. They use EVP too and have caught some eerie things.

I'm one of those people who would LOVE to believe in that stuff, but I have yet to see anything that truely convinces me that all that stuff is just natural phenomenon being misinterpreted or hoaxed.

You can do it yourself, you know, without any professional equipment. You just need a tape recorder and the computer software that plays it on your PC. Pretty simple, and that's what I like about EVP. I'll definitely try it someday.

Oh god, not this baloney again. Seriously, you'd think that living in an enlightened age such as this... Anyway.

Short short short version: Recording equipment with bad radio frequency shielding + Psychological phenomenon that makes us recognize language.

Of course, a lot of people will chose to believe they're receiving message from the great beyond, not from the baby next door or someone's walkie-talkie. Fun times for them.

For the rest of us, there's Google.

Either way that you look at it, there's no proof that it's not from beyond and there's no proof that it is. It's a draw. It can't be proved or disproved. I'm skeptical of it, but it's still possible. I think there's an afterlife, for instance:

See the section on near death experiences. Really interesting and true (Discovery Channel had a program on about life after death; ALL 10 of the patients who had been dead for various periods of time and then revived reported floating above their body, heading through a tunnel into a light, and being met by a voice). Strong evidence since 2 of the people interviewed were Atheist and honestly said they'd never believed in God. I don't know if he's the God that every religion wants him to be. In fact, I think all religions are wrong, but something does exist when you die. I don't believe in God (too much pain in the world; then again, maybe he's just watching us and doesn't interfere), but experiencing my own NDE would probably change my mind.

As Tommy Dewar once said, "Minds are like parachutes. They have to be open to work."
