This time my s-boat on her second very successful war patrol fatally crashed into an island on a clear day at 8 knots at 2500TC. It was a sandy beach too.

If the Devs are doing another patch, please, please, include a Land Ahoy response from the watch, and if possible make it not say that when you start the game docked at Pearl.

Thx

Well at least the (surviving) crew got to enjoy a nice, sandy beach! ;)

I think if they incorporated any such fix (high hopes, I know), the lookout SHOULD state that when you start docked at PH...just the other day I ran aground when I was exiting the dock, cause I was watching the wonderful ROW scenery! :lost:
I knew there was a reason I always started my patrols outside the harbor :p

I ran aground exploring the Waipahu side of Pearl Habor. It was rather embarrassing.

I was looking for a good shave-ice stand.

Joe,

You can't leave that sub there, you have to pull it off! Gonna ruin a perfectly nice beach with that relic!

What are you doing cruising around at those TC speeds!:sunny:

Sounds to me like someone needs to learn to be diligent with the magnifying glass chart tool and go over the entire plotted course carefully before they call for warp speed

I did that once. It was real nice to see my watch crew sprawled all over the beach:roll:

I did that going from Fremantle to Brisbane, near Sydney. I hit land, the really bad part was going down to 1x and the sound kicking in, it must be like a real depth-charging I think.

If I remember correctly there is a tool called a way point. The entire map is color coded so as to not run aground. No excuse Captain.
Also when in shallow waters there is both verbal and a written message "We are in shallow Waters sir!" ( anything over 8 TC and you won't hear it though :damn: ).

You are not allowed to beach your sub..............well.... unless you want to be with Daryl Hannah maybe.:arrgh!: :rotfl:

AH don't feel bad as I'm sure all of us have busted up the bottom of our subs at sometime or other.:D
