Hi!

Over at WaW, I portrayed a temporary persona by name of Lt. Adolf Werner. Yes, you guessed it, a war correspondent who goes out on one of the patrols.

I wrote up an article after his return and have been urged to post it here as well as an inspiration for subsimmers.

Well, I don’t know about that, but here it is. Hope you like it and forgive the few typos I missed.

Cheers!

Being a war correspondent, I recently spent three weeks aboard U-201 while on patrol.

Here is the following newspaper article. Hope you men and women of the Ubootewaffe enjoy it. You're all crazy you know!

Miss B',
That's a very nice article! Thank you for sharing it. It has a good wartime-era feel to it, even the mis-typos you mentioned work just right. It's all pre-word processor & spell-checks, you know.
 Good work!

So did any of the crew complain about Werner leaving the seat up?

Don't really know. I was searching for a picture of a WWII German newspaper to use and that's what I found. It was on Ebay.

WOW, MB, you're alive!!! I just mentioned you recently in a thread meant for female players.

Great story; it's good to read about KptLt Hessler's adventures again.

One male reporter on a boat full of women? He's either very happy, very frustrated, or dead.

Good to hear from you again.

This reminds me of brave Sir Lancelot and Castle of Anthrax - "I bet you're gay!!!" (Monthy Python). :D

Thanks Sailor Steve. Now THAT was quite a story. I still remember intending it to only be about 15 pages or so. Gads!

You're right, I need to drop by more often.

Cheers!
