Hello folks, couple quick questions,

I used to play SH3 and seem to remember a camera changing to a (torp view) just before my torpedos either struck, missed, or were duds (like and underwater view of the torp making its final run in) I don't see that in this game Is there an option or keystroke to enable it?

Also I am ready to begin a Career but am not sure what sub class to choose.. What are the benifits of them? I dont want to start out with an uber sub right away, can i start with one and get the option to get promoted to a better one like SH3/

im sure i'll think of a couple more..

Thanks!

Ok, I seem to see three options.. Tambor, Porpoise, and Gar.. shouldn't I be forced to start in an S class sub as this is the beginning of my campagin? Also I dont see the GAr listed on the sub poster.. Is this sub supirior to the others? thanks :)

-Edit It seems if I set my base as asiatic fleet insted of pearl harbor I get the s class selections.. Which is better to start out the carrer from?

I tend to start in the Asiatic fleet, for the simple reason that you dont have to slog across the pacific each time you launch. As for the subs when you start, generally speaking the lower down the list, the worse they are, although im sure someone can give a more precise answer if you need one.

The S-boats were only based with ComSubAsiatic. You can also get early fleet boats there, if you want a little extra punch.

Playing the Asiatic Campaign the Porpoise-class boats were available early in the war. Some sailed out of Cavite in late 1941 so you don't always have to pick an S-Boat.
