Hi!

I put new topic to recommend good Mods, because some of us are new or don't have a time to watch for new good mods.

My recommendation are:
- GWX2.0 - for best realism on this moment in game. SH3 with GWX2.0 is like new game. More ships, scripts and lots, lots more....
- SH3Commander2.7 - give you the best option to manage your career.
- Longer Repairing Time (LRT 1.35) - have you remember "Das Boot" and their damages, from now damege will be rapaired longer, much longer then 1 or 2 minutes. (We waiting for GWX2.0 version).
- Depth Cherges Shake (DCS 1.04) - now depth charges are really spooky.

This was my hope to add GWX2 to my game. I had the earlier versinof GWX and it worked great but now I have run into a problem. First off a clean install, brand new with nothing added. I go to FilePoint via Subsim and there are the 9 downloads. Start with the first and the Install starts to work by delineating where the patch is to go. Get to the final stage with all parameters med and up pops a message- Need Disk 1 to continue. Any idea what this means. I have the original game disk in the drive but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need download all gwx files.

I had the same problem after renaming the first file (the one with the paw icon).
You need to have all downloads in the same folder and not rename any part of them.
If you install exactly as it says on the GWX thread:

including creating a new GWX 2.0 folder on the desktop and downloading all files into it then you should have no problems.

I use this one also. You can easily replace the gun sound in the mod with a copy/paste of the gun sound file in GWX if you prefere it as I did.

I haven't tried the latest version. but the orignal works fine.

I prefer the lite Depth Charge Shake mod (Included with the Depth Charge Shake Mod.. you have a choice between regular and lite). The regular one almost flips the sub upside down when I get depth charged and it also makes me seasick when driving on the surface. The Lite one tones it down a bit.:D

lo all

i posted about a mod idea a few days ago but got no response really

i would like ..if possible.... to hear the propellers of convoys inside the boat if you get within a certain range....after reading a few books this seems to be the norm....quite loud and vibrating off the pressure hull
maybe a tweak to increase this noise if already there cos i cant really make it out:smug:

On the topic of mods I've just noticed one in the GWX folder named Enhanced Damage Effects. What does it do? I used Torpedo Damage Final with 1.03 and it was pretty good. Can it be run in tandem or does it do the same thing?

I downloaded the Depth Charge mod and the Longer Repair Times mod too, but it says they're for GWX1.3. Are they compatible with 2.0?
