Ok... Wtf?

I have had this game since day one, I have babysetted it i have watched it become a real game over time,,,,THEN.......NO NO NO NO...... stop! this game sucks !!!!!!!, Today i play the first in maby 9 to 12 days and what happens!! (ALL MY SAVES ARE NO LONGER BEING READ) Like they never happend,Like someone came and took them,....A Whole year and an a half of playing and makeing saves down the drain like some bad toilet paper down a hole. I MEAN WTF!..!!!!

DOES THIS STUPID GAME!!.... just for some stuped reason all a sudden Forget (WHERE-WHEN-HOW We played it last) I mean "come-the ****-on"- hear tell me the truth. IT has its own mind? and says when we have had enough and puts a stop to our game play!!.... WELL IMHO "THAT is pure BS. but thats what happend to me today, I have to start from the begining again after all this time!!!!

Ummm you didn't happen to install an update patch to the game by chance did you?

It's been a noted fact that all saves prior to patching are no longer valid and read by the patched program.

If that's the case ... you start from zero.

As Snuffy says, did you update the game with a patch, add or remove any mods (especially large mod packs like TM, RSRD, RFB)? If so, well, there's yer problem.

I had this same problem several months ago. VERY frustrating, and occued for no apparent reason. Since then I only save when surfaced and the problem never returned (or at least not yet). IMO the save file somehow became corrupt. dont ask me how but you know ****happens.

I had a similiar problem earlier. I found that a certain combination of MODS would cause my save games not to load. I'm not certain but it seemed to be related to the voice message about "speed zero" that you get when you load a save game. Nothing I could do would restore the saves, even unloading all my mods. The lesson for me was that whenever you load a new mod. Do a test save just after you leave port for the first time. Then try to reload that test save. If it works you should be ok, if not then you have to figure out which mod is giving you a problem as you will be unlikely to reload ANY saves after this.

Why does every 20 thread starters have to have swearing in the title. This is so selfish. All the caring, protective parents out there who have blocking programs are going to key on this garbage and the kids who are learning WWII history and the bravery and technical hurdles of that great technologogical era will not have the benefit of the wealth of knowledge and great links to WWII data provided here.

Please people, show some maturity and consideration for younger folk. As for myself, I can handle it, but why should I? What have I to gain from these nasty posts when there are hundreds of other posts of tremendous quality where I can read without the trash talk. All you are doing is limiting your audience and doing the community a dis-service.

My game is clean and I enjoy it BIG time. I NEVER have problems or crashes to the desktop.

Sounds like YOUR PC is crap by having too many games or attempts to fix things on it.

I play SHIII with GWX 2.0 and SH IV with several MODs for both games and NEVER have problems - ever.

Seems you need to look in the mirror and fix YOUR PC before bitching any further with this nonsense by you?

And you just answered your own question Pv. People in the world today feel in general that if they don't swear or use profanity it makes them less of an individual somehow.

Of course it probably doesn't help that the hollywood media is going full tilt to make it seem acceptable. Comedians who cuss every other second or third word are not funny either.

But you are right, it's a lack of maturity on the person's part to use this kind of language. Not using profanity shows a certain degree of self control and maturity, as well as individualism. The "need" to be accepted by peers causes people to be this way. People want to be cattle. They are driven in herd and to stay with the herd you do as the herd. Heaven forbid you decide to be different from the herd.

C'mon folks lets show some restraint and individualism here.
