Low flying C-130 from the Swedish Air force. Sorry no sound.
The pilot, 50 years old got suspended and will probably get fired.
He claimed he wanted to show his appreciation of an exercise well done.

Minimum legal altitude for those buggers are 50 meters (30 with special permission). That was no more than 5....

Like to point out that this is not common within the swedish armed forces, just so that noone gets any funny ideas about our army;)

Ever seen a parachute extraction from a herky bird? , they fly that low or lower for longer.

you can see how low they get in some of the shots in this Video (Ok It's of things going wrong but its the only one I could find showing extractions , and its funny as hell ;):D)

I don't understand why he's in trouble. I've seen C-130's doing exercises where they drop a parachute behind them and it pulls some type of machinery off the plane from the ramp. He showed awesome skills by flying over the tree line and then almost on the deck.

I flew C-30s in France (1991) for the Securite Civile, dropping retardant on wild fires. We used to do this sort of stuff every day. You have to add a bit of smoke, flames, turbulence and high tension wires to replicate those days :rock:

You got to it before me, but that guy has got the biggest MARBLES ever. I saw it and replayed as i couldnt believe that guy didnt move one bit

That's basically why he got grounded. He risked the lives of several people. The fact that he flew an extremely expensive, big and valuable airplane at a dangerous altitude is one thing, but to do it right over the heads of others is rather tactless.
