Yep. I'm guessing the guy they dragged back to Aruba a few weeks back is the one who knows it all. I have been following this since it started. Not closely but would read what was presented in the news. I would like to see some closure for the parents.

This case has had so many weird turns that you can't keep up with the latest release. How many times does the police there have to arrest someone and then release them?

He's probably got an attitude because this has been going on for so long and they still haven't seen a long stay at the bar inn. ;)

Whatever the case, the nice tape of him talking about it is out there now. Although I do not see jail time as a result of this tape, I do see him as being in the media eye for a very long time. It will be the OJ Simpson effect for him.

Unfortunately our court system has nothing in place for what happened here. Her body was dump in the ocean and will never be found. With out conclusive evidence there really is no crime as there is no proof. I think it is *ucked up don’t get me wrong, but once again it is just another loop in the Justice System.

I agree that he will be in the spotlight for a very long time.

Here is the question to ponder though:

We all know that kids go to this countries on the senior trips and various events like that, because there is no drinking age and they do drugs because is legal in these countries. What if.........she was drinking heavily and doing COKE like the article said and she did die of an overdose as she was having sex with this guy?

We will never know as he dumped the body, but you have to ask what you would have done in that situation.

Once again, I AM NOT defending this guy, just looking at it a different light.

You are correct they are not legal, that was my mistake. They are however a lot easier to get in those areas and countries.

She may not have been dead and she may been in a coma you are correct. Now that is considered RAPE.

The whole point is nothing will ever happen to him! He dumped a body far enough out to sea that he knew it would never be recoverable!

And at this point even if they could recover it, what would be left of it, for over a year it has been in warm salt water decomposing. Who knows what else.

Believe me I think this dude should fry for life, but I honestly dont think it will happen. Too many loop holes in the system

In a way, what life does OJ really have? Always under the microscope and always suspect......just the way it should be concerning OJ and the fact he got off scott free. In effect, it is like a prison without the bars. Van der Sloot will be getting much the same....and I believe he deserves it.

I bet my bottom dollar that this young lady wondered off with Sloot that night. He made advances that were rebuked. He got pissed and did her in. I guess I would have seizures also if someone was squeezing the life out me via a death grip on my neck. He will get his prison without the bars just like OJ. Perhaps they can room together:88). This story is far from over. I'm glad that this fellow picked up the pieces over the last three years and kept after fact finding. I'm glad there is some sort of closure for the family. Not the type of closure I would wish on anyone, but all the same, an answer to what happened to their daughter.
