Authorities say Joshua Ammirato, 18, of Fairfield, Fla., snuck his his father's gray 2008 BMW M-5 onto the main runway, with four friends onboard. Police say after racing down the strip, the car flew off an approximately 85-foot-high embankment at the end of the runway. They say the car was going so fast it went airborne for about 200 feet before slamming into a tree.
The car was split in two upon impact, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, ejecting three passengers and partially ejecting the other two.
All five victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

he should know for a fact that a 19 year old with more testosterone in them then 10 adult males combined, gets out of control in a high horsepower car... let alone a BMW M series... :shifty:

This is from the link Neal gave us ... posted just a few hours before he wrecked it.
Maybe your 2 years driving experience in your whole life is the problem.
Shoot I was 23 before I took my 65 Shelby GT-350 up to 6,600 rpm on the Maine turn pike ... the needle was all the way past the 120 mark. I looked over at my girlfriend and said, "How about that"
She was only 18 and after looking at the big round tachometer in the middle of the dash said, "Your only going 66 miles an hour"
All stop ... time for her to get out.

Very sad. No kid should have access to an $80,000 car. I'm sorry, but that's insane. Young drivers should be given older cars outside of the performance category. There's nothing left for them to work for in life if they're just handed everything. Granted, this kid stole his dad's car...
Found this in the forum written by the deceased:
M5froth I completley understand where you are coming from assuming that I am irresponsible..that is definetly understandable. I do sometimes make bad decisions but I am young and I do drive safe and I will not endanger the lives of others..and I hope you are not under the impression that I am the one to brag, I have never been that way and never will. Plus I will have pictures up asap with me in the pictures. I have no reason to lie buddy.

Thank you for improving the human genome by removing yourself from it, without killing innocents - that's the proper way that is preferred.
