View Full Version : Link to list of naval sims 1979 - Present
While looking around the web in general I found this list of Naval Sims that seems pretty complete so might help some who want to jog their memory from way back or like me looking for alternative sims.

Cool find! Thanks!
Oh, and a belated welcome to Subsim! *hands a set of binoculars*
I can still remember *sigh* those nights while I played "Red Storm Rising" on my C64 for hours and hours...
688 Attack sub (PC-DOS version). My first subsim!

Old as dirt, like me and Blacklight.

Silent Service, 8-bit NES was my first.
Thinking back to when I played 688 on my old mega drive, I see it's also available for PC and wondered if anyone knew where it could be downloaded?
OH and thanks Kapitan Phillips for the cool Binoculars ! :D

Funny...I don't see the Naval Combat Pack. I noticed the Naval Warfare Collection in '00, so why not the NCP? Otherwise...a great collection!
Funny...they even put the cancelled Harpoon 4...if they would've looked in here, we could've provided them with a few more on the wish list.:rotfl::rotfl:

Such a poorly coded game...I loved it personally, regardless its flaws.

My first naval sim is only about halfway down that list being Fast Attack 1996 by Sierra. Buggy but I loved the cut scenes although after a while they were a tad repetitive. :)
Then came along Janes 688i and I was in heaven. :|\\
