I have been meaning to do this for a while, at least a year or so, and now inspired by Brag and JcWolf who have their own tremendous websites I would like to announce the official launch of my own one! :()1:
Its only a small site at the moment but I think the best part is the movies which I have several more to add, and also the War Diary complete with screenies which is sort of turning into a story. So far I am in the middle of patrol two. I have tried to put an operations room in there which coinsides with the war diary and so far it works although I need to expand it and develope it somewhat.
In future I hope at add some articles on U-Boat warfare and the war as a whole.
Ive had it linked to my Sig. for a while whilst testing and it should work in Internet explorer and Firefox.
I do hope you like it!

you just made me go for it ....
a) reading your page ( I like it)
b) going to put my patrol records in a web blog. I thought about it for 1 1/2 years now, and that's enough thinking...
Those patrol maps are really coooooool
Aaahem, by the way...

The correct german article for Kriegstagebuch is "DAS" and not "DIE"
(beancountermode=off)
:rotfl:
Very nice, Cpt. Otto. Congratulations!

Fixed the "Das" and not "Die" problem! :D I thought I might come unstuck with my German translations, the online translation tools are not always very acurate.
I would encourage you to go for it! As windows vista takes over and then what ever comes next, soon who knows if we can play the game in the future and so I have built it for that reason mostly. So that I can look back on it.
I remember playing many of the subsims, SH2, right back through Silent Service and beyond as far as Proteks Hunter Killer "Run silent --- Run deep" made to run on the Sinclair Spectrum in 1983! In all those in some way I wish had perhaps writen something about those games.
Thanks to ebay I have now got a collection including an original copy of all of them. Picked up real cheap too, just no computer that will actually play them.
If I get a chance I will post up the small intructions for Hunter Killer, it is amusing to see how far we have come. For example the area you have to operate in within that game is a small area just off the coast of Heligoland! Cant remember what happened if you went beyond that!! ...proberbly a crash as there no desktop!

I like the photo diary and the map feature. Adds flavor to the patrol reports.
The cinema is well done :D. You only lack a pub.
