Imagine wwiiol integrated with sh3 :)
Obviously there would be issues with having no time compression and integrating the game engines (impossible?), but man, that would be cool.
(also mods, if this is too OT, please feel free to delete or move)

I guess. The WW2OL powers-that-be don't seem too interested in the naval side of things; at this rate we'll get a dedicated naval module for WW2OL sometime around the year 2525...

well, although it would be world-class to have a game that can combine tank, infantry, air and naval simulations all in one title it would take a monster of a development team to be successful.

I think that's optimistic. Not to deny what CRS has accomplished but the Naval side of things has always taken a back seat.
Until (if) there is physical supply (men, machines, weapons, & ammo) to be shipped, trucked, and trained there is no true need.

I don't think the naval thing would work with the majority of the kind of people who play WW2OL. Naval action is way too slow moving to keep attentions most of those kids with attention spans of about 3 secconds. Most of those players just wouldn't be able to handle hours and hours at sea looking at nothing. The no time compression is the final nail in the coffin.

Have you ever played WW2 online? It's not a bunch of kids and you can spend 50 minutes driving somewhere and trying to kill something just to have your screen go black because you just got killed and never knew what hit you.
I'm not sure about a naval implementation but the ground war is realistic. A lot of boredom and looking around and then "OH ****"
