The greatest ever wicket-keeper batsman to play Test and One Day cricket has retired after a brilliant career for Australia entertaining cricket fans the world over while revolutionising the keeper/batter role that teams all over the world try to emulate with mixed results.

I will miss his destructive ways with the willow. I'll never forget his fastest century at the WACA against England recently or his run a ball not out double ton against South Africa in Johannesburg all those years ago. What a player. What a sportman. What a man. No one deserves his retirement more.

Thank you Adam.

We will miss you. :yep:

Another great player goes into the night and history books.

PS: Keep them retiring and we Brits may stand a chance next year or the year after.

PPS: Fat chance. ;)
