The stock game gives you very limited news/music. Check in the SH4 mod forums for the thread titled 1.4 compatible mods. There is plenty of news and music mods:up:

The button is located on your hud, the same button that gives you various sub views, the grammaphone. The camera icon on the hud will take there.
