It seems like it is not, which makes station keeping pretty simple, which probably wouldn't add much to the game anyway, but... just making sure.

Only mods are:
GWX2
Torp Damage Final
OLC GUI

Thanks

There's no set, drift nor tides in any of the SHIII variations. Your position as indicated on the chart is accurate. Even in the worst weather :-?

You won't believe this then. I was once waiting for a ship to sink, my boat was at all stop 0 knots and the ship was at 0 knots. I used TC to speed up the sinking and I noticed my boat and the merchant drifting across the nav map. I had to go into real time and adjust my course and set speed to avoid crashing into the merchant.

This was in GWX 1.03. Have not yet been in a similar situation where I need TC to speed things up in GWX 2.0

I thought it was pretty realistic as I was in rough seas at the time and didn't think anything of it until I saw this topic.

Wow... Some things have happened lately to make me wonder too. This is cool!

Does it actually work in accordance with wind & sea state?

I should imagine the higher the sea and or wind state, the more effect it will have, yes.

I can't say for sure, but in scene.dat there are different "sea speed" values for given wind speed. For me it looks like this :
wind 0 -> no waves -> very slow sea speed (almost no "drift")
wind 15 -> high waves -> higher sea speed, faster drift

There are intermediate wind values, and also a lot of other values so I may be wrong :hmm:

You may well be ;)
