I was wondering if they have gone under. I bought the download Monday and unsuccessfully downloaded it that night on my slow connection. Sent 4 emails to the support email addy so far without any response. :nope:

They aren't out of business as far as I know and their customer service is usually pretty darn good. It may just be that their tech support service is backed up due to the combination weekend/holiday.

No but thank you for asking. My cousin downloaded the game using a thing called bit torrent and I installed it and applied the registration key that I had purchased from Strategy First to get it up and running. I am just printing out the manual as I type this. Looks like a good game.

Since buying this, I also paid for and downloaded "Air Raid - this is not a drill" from Strategy First, so my problem with 1914 - SOF must just have been a glitch.

You downloaded the game from a torrent...? How did you purchase a key from Strategy First to use on a pirated copy of the game? If you bought a registration key from SF, try downloading the version of the game that comes with the key. Tell me if that works.

I think he might've used the key he was given with the purchased copy on a copy that his brother downloaded, I dunno :-? A bit like borrowing your friends disk, but illegal :rotfl:

Neal,

I believe I already answered that one.

I received a proof of purchase from Strategy first that included the download key first and it was that download that didnt work!
I paid for a game that would not download properly.
I tried redownloading 23 times (I also had purchased the extended download option) and I received an error message every time I tried redownloading.
I emailed the company 4 times over a week and received absolutely no response, (and still havent).
I obtained a non working copy (pirated?) from another source and applied the download key supplied in the proof of purchase and the copy works fine.
I dont consider I have done anything wrong. I paid Strategy First for a product that they did not supply so I got it from elsewhere. I DID pay for it. :hmm:

Ok, gotcha. I did not see anywhere in your initial post that you "received a proof of purchase from Strategy first that included the download key first and it was that download that didnt work!"

Here's the deal, e-mail me at subsim@subsim.com I will forward your message to Strategy First. A rep there has already contacted me by e-mail, I think a direct note from you to him can clear this up pronto.

thanks
Neal
