I just watched the 'Seahunters' episode (2004) about this VIID, U-215. Anyone else ever catch it?
I wondered though. When the anchor eventually hooks up with the wreck, the divers catch her with the anchor exactly stuck in or near the mining tubes... I suppose you have to connect a buoy somehow, but is that normal procedure?
And also, the mines were still there, they could see them in the tubes. Could they have gone off given this 'lucky' anchor? :hmm:
The wreck was fairly intact and closed up. The team also searches for a Liberty Cargo, SS Alexander Macomb, U-215 supposedly attacked near the Canadian/US coast.
