If there's any debt information contained within I hope somebody will be kind enough to clear some of it off.
I also hope the lowly ranker from who's car it was stolen from, is not burdened with the blame, but more so it should be the senior people who failed to foresee the weaknesses in the current security measures.

Have none of these agencies ever heard of secure servers and VPN connections? :roll: Why is any sensitive data stored on any local computer or laptop anymore? It has not been necessary to do so for years now.

That stuff's coming, but the defence industry is notoriously slow at adopting new technology - heck we've still got guys in my office using NT4 workstation on their desktops.

there is no such thing like "secure servers". Sensitive data has no business in being transmitted via wire or radio. sesnitive data has no business in beeing shuttled around and being made accessible from outside connections at all. The only truly safe connection is a non-existing connection.

The FBI is experiementing with brain scanners that read EEG data of people passing the scanner like passing through the optical focus of a camera. So maybe even a non-existing physical connection is safe anymore. :doh:
