Stealth Hunter

I've recently been doing some research into a modification that I was told about by a friend of mine for the old game Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (you might remember it, as it was pretty popular a few years ago). Anyway, I became more and more interested in this mod and started to look it over closer and closer. Looked pretty impressive and it sounded very neat. As I delved deeper and deeper into its background, I came across several things that have led me to believe that the mod is actually a huge hoax (not the first time someone has come to this assumption either).
I found a video that will better explain some of the issues that have led me to this sad yet angering conclusion:

Now upon doing further research into the mod, I found that the man running the show, Master Tim as he is called, has been collecting donations since the mod was first announced years and years ago. Upon further research into the actual numbers, he's actually collected over $10,000 from fans all over the world (note that he lives in Istanbul, Turkey). As if that wasn't bad enough, he was actually sent to the GAMEX Convention in 2006 and provided with his own display moment (note the number of people in front of him):

I've looked into the names of people in the audience at the time, and it turns out some of them were there to view the mod from Gamespot, IGN, Strategy Informer, and even Game Informer Magazine. He was also sent to the CEBIT Convention.
Tim's YouTube account can be found here along with all his videos and probable lies:

The mod was reset to be re-released on January 1st. That time has come and gone with no news on the site as to why it has not been released. As if that was bad enough, Tim has even considered possibly CHARGING members who want to have the mod sent to them (from Turkey... and even then he's not spoken up as to how he will accomplish this...).
I honestly don't know what to think. I'm fairly sure this is a huge lie. Several users have pointed out that the work presented in Tim's "Ultimate Trailer" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3eqP6RE3-8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3eqP6RE3-8)) was in fact stolen from them by him and then integrated accordingly for the GAMEX Convention, and from further research, that seems to be the case. His forums, if you have a look, are too hunky-dory. There's too much praise towards the mod and not enough criticism.
I'm wanting to know what you think on the subject. Here's the main website for the mod, and that's what I'm leaving you with:

As a final word, this hoax thing has gotten very serious. Several people have even made death threats against Tim.
