I did a forum search and a google search, and came up with a couple ok sites, but nothing like I remeber for SH3 and want to make sure I'm not missing the best work! SH3 when used with mods made it a 100% better game, but that was too long ago to remember where I got them. Just firing up SH4 for the first time, and want to get the most out of it! Thanks! Btw, I hope I don't get keel-hauled for this question, I'm sure its been asked a hundred times, but for the life of me, I can't find the threads.
See the link to the "SUBSIM Radio Room Foums" above?
Click that and click "SH4 Mods Workshop"
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=219
Most or all of the discussion threads have links to download the mods.

OK, thanks gents! That got me going in the right direction. Of course that begs the next question, I wonder what the consensus is on the "must have" mods so far for Silent Hunter 4? Also, I noted the use of the JSGME in the installation notes for some of the mods. Is this the same one that I used for SH3, or is there a different one that I need to get for SH4? Thanks again!

Jou can use JSGME with many games all you need to do is install it to the games root folder.
As for must have mods, I use Trigger Maru with Reflections On the Water, some sub skins by FooFighters and the Gato interior overhaul by Ducimus.
Don't think I could play this game without them:up:

First, Jsgme is the same, but there has been some new updates for it if you havent noticed. For mods, I like Reflections on the Water(ROW) Trigger Maru(Tmaru) and Runsilent run deep(RSRDC). also metalhud looks great for the user interface. And Finally the Battle flag/Kill flag mod is a nice addition. The emblems on the conning tower are great for individuality.

Natural Sinking Mechanics is also indispensible. Must-have Minimum for me (sorry swdw, this may change but I'm a loyal guy) is Trigger Maru, Run Silent Run Deep and Natural Sinking Mechanics. I am trying out Real Fleet Boat's New Real Deck Gun but I seldom use the deck gun. I'm sure looking forward to it though! And I run some radio mods, the Battle Flags mod group's custom Kraken skin with kill flags on the conning tower (you can see it on my signature pic).
Edit: Reflections on the Water is also on the indispensible list after they get settled down and everything is certified compatible with patch 1.4. That and a great update should be out about Friday and it will again enter my can't-do-without list.

OK, great tips as always, appreciate the thoughts. I arrived late to this game than the rest of you, and his helps me get jump-started a little into the world of SH4, and catch up on the mods. Great help mates!
