Weird problem ...

and I do remember readin' in a thread about this problem ... BUT I can't seem to find it in search and wonderin' if ANYone else has this and whats the fix IF any right now

When I'm bein' fired upon on the surface by British warships or in fact ANY allied warship I hear the voices of the enemy crew in GERMAN ... same voice loop as my deck gun crew :o


I'm runnin' GWX 2.0 AND JCWolfs 1.2

Is there a fix for this ... I HOPE :sunny:

Just wondering, but are you sure it's not your own crew in the background ? I know some mods have taken sound samples , from for example Das Boot, in order to bring some more live to your boat. Don't know about the mod your using though...

Personally, for Stock SH3 and the GWX version, i'm not aware of any crewvoices created for the enemy vessels apart from the screams when ships explode.

I've never heard any voices coming from any other ship than my own.

It's the other crews voices I hear but they are in German same as my guys durin' reloadin' and fire ...

I was cruise'N on the surface and was bein' shelled from a distance by a destroyer and after each round fired I heard the german voice for relaod and fire :damn:


I have no idea what I've done or got wrong here but I thought I seen a thread that related to this problem :hmm:

It's the same voice loop as when my deck gun crew fire and re-load ...

I'm running GWX 2.0 with German language/English subtitles and I hear my crew speaking in the background when an order is given. I presume it's one of the little extras (like the telegraph ringing) that the GWX team put into the German language version. That being said, I've never heard speech coming from another vessel. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, only that I've not heard it.

If you're using the deck gun sound P09_$gun_muzzle_flash.wav from the Command and Combat mod, this sound is also used for Allied Deck guns and the K-guns, That's why you hear German voices when they fire. Other than renaming the "new" deck gun sound and assigning it to only the German deck gun, I don't know of a way to avoid this.
