I just walked out of the beer store with only 5 beers and paid $30 for it. This is getting nutz! :x I might have to invest in my own brewing equipment.
In case anyone is asking why, there is a hop shortage, especially in Europe but affecting everybody.

I cant believe you have to pay more for beer in US than in here.:hmm:
What size of cans/bottles did you buy?

My most expensive was a 11.3 ounch bottle, but the 2x Double Bastards I bought were 22 ounce. I have 1x 16 ounce, and 1x 12 ounce. So $30 bought me, 83.3 ounces of beer. Not much I might say. A few years back, I would have paid close to $20 for the same.

I've got a bucket of red ale buzzing away right now. Should be ready to bottle in two weeks. 800 ounces... cost me... $20! :D

Expensive for 'off licence' (as we call them in the UK) beer. Whilst on the subject I have just come back from Iceland where a pint set you back anywhere between £4 - £5.50 in the local pub. A Southern Comfort and lemonade and a pint set me back around £12 a throw.

God no!!! Imagine the taste! Alcohol itself is enough to stop you from having good fish, with Bernard beer, your fish will stop, turn around and hit your sub! God forbid! Good laugh though.

Wasn't that a worry in the Arctic Ocean, that magnetic torps would go a bit crazy near the Pole, and put the boat in danger of sinking itself?
(Aside - it took me three tries to type "danger", I can't wait to finish this bloddy thesis :p)

Drink scotch. Works faster and you spend less time running back and forth to the bathroom:D

That only happens in winter. ;)
Pubs and off licence's are now a rip off, better off with the supermarket works out cheaper. :ping:

Maybe call it something to honour those skippers in the sky (assuming it turns out okay)
