South of "Yokohama Harbor" on a photo recon I catch this DD doing 20 kts in reverse for over five NM then forward about five NM then reverse back and forth all in a straight line.
The dizzy headed little captain may have enjoyed his little game but why if in reverse is their a rooster tail and a bow wake? ( huh DEVs :hmm: )

No I did not sink him for I had to be a good captain and keep silent if I didn't want any trouble in his harbor ( needed those pics ), so I let him dance for three hours then he left. :damn:

I encounter the same problem, but everytime I'm at Yokohama Harbor, sometimes troop convoys spawn while I'm entering the harbor, and sometimes, some DD gets left out from the convoys, end up being like that on EP's picture.

I've noticed this a lot in narrow straights and harbours ... something with the pathing of the AI is not smart enough to know to turn to avoid the land issue.

Me ... I put him out of his misery. :D

I used to see that every time I returned to Midway to end my patrol (in RSRDC Phase I, I've yet to start a career with Phase II loaded, I'm patiently awaiting for my g/f to finish with her final exams). Either a Torpedo Boat or Gun Boat, don't remember the name right now. Never seen any IJN units do that. Guess sake was in short supply during the War, but there was bourbon aplenty :rotfl:

Yup. This is a common theme in shallows where the ship can't follow the path created for it. See it a lot.
