I was thinking about how there are some songs that just seem to fit in with SHIII but you don't really know why. I personally think that Romanian song Dragostea din Tei fits in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgU_m3SuYPEdu' know why. If anybody listens to this song on gramophone you are not the only one. If I am just crazy I will try talking to a Doctor.

Are you smoking some wacky weed...

That is one of my favorite songs that almost everyone has heard of but few no its real name...however, I do not see anything that fits into SHIII in that song.

Personally, I think that "Captain Jack's Theme" fits in pretty nice. So does "Roll TIde"

It's not really the lyrics. It just... I don't know it just seems to fit in.:-? :-? If you listen to on SHII you'll understand.

That song is wacked... maybe it is because i don't understand the lyrics/language.. but how the hell does that fit in with SH3?

Hahahaha :rotfl:

nothing like some camp romanians to complete that authentic WW2 u-boat atmosphere we all love.

This one has been posted a while back, and many will know it from the mid 90s... 1, 2, 3 Techno!

Has anyone ever made a folder of the top 40 songs for a grammaphone? Might be a good idea.

silentrunner IMO that song fits to SH3 just as much as a modern torpedo fits in a WWII torpedo tube. :stare: :88) :dead:

Try this one on for size... (please park your authenticity radar for a moment)

"It's like that" RUN-DMC vs. Jason Nevins, when going into attack.

I was just listening to some of my CD's, and I realised that "Carry Your Cross And I'll Carry Mine" by Tiamat works pretty well because of a few lines in the first verse.

*cant recall line*
If I sink what does it prove?
I'll always be your prey.
*more lines after*

The rest of the song doesnt fit as well, but those two lines work great.

I actually prefer older Iron Maiden.. Lots of instrumentals in it to keep you cruising along.

"Stormy Weather" very appropriate. :damn:

Would it be possible to get editable lists of Top-40 (etc.) music as part of member's profiles here instead? I've been to other sites where the declaration of this song, or that perferomer over all others gets uncomfortable. Even with the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list, there was/is a great deal of argument. Some people were even offended by its obvious exclusions and biased selections. But if each member could list thier own choices of songs, and these could be viewed by other members, what real trouble could come of it then?

Just an idea..

As soon as we're out of earshot of the Band on the Quay, I play 'England ist kaput' to fire up the Men.

Some Rammstein probably couldn't hurt - very ominous & "Teutonic - sounding", especially to my non German-speaking ear.

For me there is not a "single best track" while playing SH (although Track #6 "Angriff", from Klaus Doldinger's "Das Boot" gets a honorable mention). It is the entire assembly!

I'm currently building custom grammophone folders for different occasions. I found this:

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3604377/KM99_s_WWII_Radio_Broadcasts

That's pretty sweet, because it's sorted and named chronologically. So what I do is, before I go out on patrol I will check the patrol date and assemble a folder that contains a mix of newsreels from the past days/months and radio/dance music from the 30ies. Feels pretty authentic :-)

Cant remember what I listened to when I played SHIII, but as for IL2, Requiem For a Dream (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2Ma4BvMUwU) is my absolute favorite. Especially when outnumbered, bullets flying past your cockpit and simply fighting to survive. Excellent track.
