Photo recon mission - and no ships

Got my first photo recon mission (playing w/ patch 1.4 and TM 1.7.5) to go photo some battleships in Kotor. Stopped along the way to take out a few marus, which added to my trip. However, when I got there, there were no battleships. There were 6 maru's of various types and one armed trawler. Even flew around using the external camera just to make sure I didn't miss anything...

Fairly certain I photographed everything (some once, same twice), but did not get the "mission complete".

So...
1) Is it scripted that some photo recon missions may come up unsuccessful because the targets have already left?
2) Does the ship type in the mission orders not matter (may be specific to TM) and I may have missed photographing one ship?

Appreciate any insight.

Someone with TM will have to help you. When playing the stock game my targets have always been there. Some have been where I didn't expect but close by.

Harbor traffic is randomly generated. Try sailing away,sink sompting,save,reload,& Ck it out in a few days:lol:

No joy the second time around, a few days (game time) later. However, got in a nasty fight w/ an escort who spotted my 'scope - at night and over 3kyds away - but decided to photograph, and then sink, the maru's taht were sitting pierside.

I had the same Mission, Here is something you may want to have a re-look at.

In my mission there was a Minni-Sub at tender, and submerged with just its conning tower part way sticking out.

I almost mist that one, had I not gone on a FREE Cam Mode.

That may fix your problem.

If any one is interested Let me know, I only use that for my WW2 Reenactment Unit, and not for games, and no one in the reenactment Unit uses it any whooo.
