There has been much discussion of the misuse of polls, but I think it's time that the subsim community showed just how many of us are grateful to the GWX 2.0 development team (and all of the modders who allowed them to use their work) and to Neal at subsim.com
Please add your vote, and show them how much their hard work is appreciated.

Not sure how to comment on this.
GWX2.0 is so far the best thing to happen in any sim world and to compare it to stock is like asking what is faster a Porsche 911 Turbo or a Yugo.
As to the site, well, they haven't thrown me out so it certainly has tolerance!!!
That and many experienced people able to help newcomers get a quick handle on SH3 and GWX2 that continues to grow the base.

Almost a stupid poll except that there is never a time when being reminded this site and the efforts of the GWX team keep SH3 the best sim to continue to run.

@ TomcatMVD, Why can't you download ? If you're on Dial-up, I'm sure someone in your locale would burn and send you a Disc [dunno where UY is tho :hmm: ]

@ Wulfmann, Do Yugo's still exist ? Many Moons since I've seen one of them :o

@ Wulfmann, Do Yugo's still exist ? Many Moons since I've seen one of them :o

They sure do.....I pulled one over for speeding about 6 months ago :yep:

Mind you, it was only doing 37mph in a 30 limit

Here's a few Yugo 'one liners'

How do you make a Yugo go faster?
A towtruck.
What do you call the shock absorbers inside a Yugo?
Passengers.
Two guys in a Yugo were arrested last night in Oakland following a push-by shooting incident.
The new Yugo has an air bag. When you sense an impending accident, start pumping real fast.
A friend went to a dealer the other day and said, "I'd like a gas cap for my Yugo." The dealer replied, "Okay. Sounds like a fair trade."
I have also said for years that the car is named because "Yugo, but it doesn't".
How can you get a Yugo to do 60 miles an hour?
Push it over a cliff.

UY is Uruguay, South America.
I don't have a cable connection yet, but that's not the problem (will be solved in the near future) The actual complication is that I'm yet to get my International Credit Card, with which to make the donation:oops: . So... it's just a matter of time.
Anyways, I really enjoy SHIII, and seeing screenies and stories about GWX really entertains me!

J,

After I mentioned Yugo I wondered if it was too old for some to get but seeing those jokes made it worthwhile.

37? Was that downhill???:stare:

TC, I am on dial up but local library's here have broadband so it is easy for me to stop in as I need to for bigger DLs.
Check with yours there.

To say GWX is phenomenal is an understatement. Aside from the more obvious additions one notices, such as more ships, historical missions, and more accurate modeling of mechanical parameters, it's all the little details that give depth to my admiration of the apparent hard work and devotion that went into making this mod.

By little things, I'm referring to the lonely tolling of the harbor buoys, the din of hammers and men as they labor at repairing ships in the floating drydocks, the small plume of spray as a Swordfish drops its torpedo, and hundreds of other details too numerous to mention.

My deepest and most sincere thanks for a great labor of love on your part, GWX team!

A skip

Why do Yugos now come with heated rear windows as standard?
So you don't get cold hands pushing it up hill in winter.

What do Yugos and excrement have in common?
Everything!

No, like Homer Simpson I'm still looking for my computer's "any key". Name comes from a pet cat, 1978-1993. He used to bushwack the Wife then run to me for protection. Seemed somehow appropriate.

I am in a position where I can afford to donate. All of the good work of the GWX team, and this forum have saved me a ton of cash over the past year. I no longer have to buy new games to excite me at 39-49 dollars a pop. With all the great mods that come out almost weekly I always have an exciting game. Thanks to all you modders. I am retired with a lot of gameing time on my hands and with out SHIII/GWX I would go out and play on the freeway. I realize that monie is tight and not everyone can donate which is OK. Subsim is a great site and the GWX team the best. Nothing is free and it does cost a lot to keep the site going. As a personal thanks to the forum and GWX team I am going to commit to at least one dollar a month donation which means that I will have to cut my monthly coffee intake by one cup.

A one person dollar of the month club.

Thanks to the forum and team

Thank you. You guys are great! I've never had so much heartbreak and frustration in my life as when GWX came out. I've been bombed, sunk, crushed, destroyed and overall slaughtered in every one of my GWX careers.

Lol some people like stock silent hunter 3 more?!? Stock Sh3 is totally boring....GWX makes it interesting so i play it with fun (The only bad thing is Multiplayer....You can only play with Stock silent hunter in MP and its really boring, all games I join are with "auto-aim" and the ones without "auto-aim" are being left (players saying: "Game bugged, cant aim" :damn:) after the start.

And the biggest Game with GWX i could run was with 4 GWX players, most of the time 8 ppl join the room and 6 drop because they dont have GWX, and I told them :"all without GWX WILL drop" .... :nope:
