He did, because he told the guy to ask him again after the next version of WIndows ships! :D Basically he is saying it sucks, but can't say it until there is an alternative on the market.

At this point though, I fear the alternative.
We can only hope Bill will not rush out his next big project after the Vista nightmare.

Just dual boot it with Xp pro Jim and I think she will soon see the errors of her ways! I had a go on vi$ta home "premium" on a mates laptop and stopped using it about 2 minutes later...I had seen enough!

All new laptops are mostly Vista included, so you don`t need to shy about it ;) :up: You can reformat however if you want ;)

The most annoying thing in Vista is how slow she transfer large file from one hard disc to another. And its also a memory eater - not good for games :down:

TBH she's only 14 so I reckoned she won't know any different if that's what she's got from the outset :hmm:
I've still got her original XP Pro disc though :lol:

Up until recently I built and repaired computers and I kept telling people to stick with 32-bit XP Pro. The only time that it has given me problems is when I try to clean up files and/or the registry with 3rd party software like CCleaner.
Anyway, this is why XP Pro still runs at $148 at wholesale prices.

I use CrapCleaner and haven't experienced any problems.....yet....fingers crossed :lol:
