View Full Version : And now you know
Remember that picture posted here last year of the python that swallowed a alligator and ripped in two, you don't, where you been?
OK, there was a program on last night about it, and to sum up the python indeed swallowed the alligator but the alligator tried to bite it's way out weakening the pythons stomach wall before dying, the python had a build up of gas which blew it apart. :o
...............thanks for clearing that up.....................
I forget who posted the picture.
Hang on I found it here......

I had 1 14 foot Burmese python, 1 baby Burmese, 2 (4-5 ft.) Columbian Boa Constrictors and 2 (2-3 ft.) Northern Pine/Bull snakes. Fed the 14 footer large rabbits and lab rats to the rest. You aint seen nuttin till you've seen a huge azz snake pop the eyeballs on a rabbit from that death squeeze. Never had problems with them either.
Couple of bites but it doesnt hurt(only small grabbing teeth) but it SCARES THE CRAP out of you because they strike so fast and only when feeding.
The Burmese python's and Boa's have infra-red in the pits in their mouth and can sense the heat of the prey plus they have excellent smell. The Bull snakes would rattle their tail like a rattler by vibrating it and would hiss loudly but NEVER ever bit anyone and were quite docile, the Burmese were nice as well but the Boa's were somewhat nasty.
I even had a black Emperor Scorpion. Used to play with it and freak people out. But you see they cant really sting down only out and up. Would let it crawl around my hand. Black Emperors poison is more like a strong bee sting though, not fatal unless allergic.
I see a snake, I kill a snake.
Ran over a brown snake on my lawn mower a few years ago, they're a protected species but also extremely venemous and as a dog owner, and I had neighbours with kids, I did what I had to do.
I'd need a pretty damn big lawn mower for that thing.
What to do if your swallowed by a python, make sure you got a couple of big bottles of fizzy drink. ;)
