This may attract a great deal of approbium but I feel have to say it ...
I totally adore SH3 and GWX. When SH4 came out I rushed out and bought it.
I hate it. The 'improved' SH4 graphics remind me of a cartoon and lack the realism of SH3 - Lots of pretty palm trees , ships and port structures - like finding Nemo :)
Not having to micromanage the crew is great but then what else is there to do when traversing thousands of miles of dull, empty, pacific ocean?
It may be that I'm an Anglo-European with a greater empathy for my native theatre of operations but somehow SH4 seems to lack any kind of soul and oh yeah ... - it's JUST PLAIN BORING .

If your playing the stock game sans mods, and unfamiliar with the history behind the theater, then ya, it'll be boring.

cant agree more :yep:
i put the TM and RFB or whatever its name is on it and it STAYS CRAP :stare:
its been ages since i took it out of the box, i think i even threw it away.
The main thing that spoils SH4 IMO is the lack of interaction with the crew, no radio room and missing sound files, it's a shame, I still play it, regardless of the many bugs that still exist, took a long time to get used to manual targeting & is quite a pleasure once mastered, to operate, however I always find myself going back to SH3.:yep:

SH4 has been my most played sim since it came out, easily the most played. I could go on a long rant here, however this type of thread has been done before and is getting old.
In the end we are lucky to have 2 great WWII sims to enjoy, I'll leave it at that, play em' both :yep::up:

With all due respect, SH3 started much the same way. Three years later and SH3 is as it is now. I picked up SH3 when it first came out. Put it away after three months. BORING! GWX got me back into it. SH4 is still under a year on the market and has grown very nicely. Other than that, show some respect for the modders who create RFB and TM. I would like to say more about your comment but I might find myself in the brig :nope:
Have a nice day and thread locked. This will do nothing but start flames.
