Hi guys, this is a dumb question all the way through, but I just felt like "Hey, let the good'ol Kaleuns at the radio forum help me out!"
So here it is. I've been commanding a Type VIIB ever since it became available, however, it seems the Kriegsmarine has now unveiled the brand new Type VIIC, now, I know that's the most common U-boat, but I couldn't find any reason to upgrade to that sub other than the larger conning tower.
So, question is, should I upgrade or should I save my renown?
Thanks!

Longer sailing distance, more tubes/fish, deeper max. depth... all good enough reasons to me.

For longer range, wait 'till IXC becomes available. Iif you want to fight in North-Easten Atlantic go for the VIIC.

If you've no plans to get a IX....then yes, upgrade....You get better equipment as the war goes on.
As for the number of tubes, VII had 5 in total, IX had 6 (2 at the rear instead of the VII 1) http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif
