I am at present experiencing my worst weather at sea ever in SH3!, and it has lasted 4 weeks, and also this is in the med!, gales/thick fog(zero vis) and heavy rain for 4 weeks, it just never ends, has anyone else ever suffered these abnormal/search inhibiting over long storms?

Messing around within 200 miles of Britain has given me some daggone awful storms. My last patrol I ran into a convoy, nailed off all the escorts with my torps, surfaced to use my deck-gun to finish them off but weather rolled in and I had to inch my way home with just one torp left in my stern :nope: Rotten patrol but had some decent tonnage

Best (or worst place) for bad weather is south of the Denmark Straight. I always experience really bad weather there, which can last for weeks.

I was W and NW of Scapa and had over a week of the stuff in Nov. '39.. really gets old and I for one would be hurling my guts out daily.

And wouldn't you know it... that area is the area I always find the most ships in... not only that.. the weather starts there for me then the storm clouds with high winds seem to follow me from there to everywhere in the world where I go.:nope:

i don't know the weather is one of the things i like best about the game and its just another thing to contend with, sure you get some crappy weather a lot but sometimes when pulling out of port i always think about the adventure that awaits me out there.....will it be :damn: or will it be:D

yup, the weather can definitely sukk sometimes, but if your lucky, you might come across a convoy in heavy seas w/out rain at night and use these conditions to your advantage. the other night i sank 4 large ships for just under 30k and slipped away with out being spotted and now i'm set to cross astern of the convoy to attack from its stbrd side on the surface. you can also get in a little closer at flank before having to submerge, or run a parallel course to get ahead of the convoy to assume the best possible position. use foul weather conditions to your advantage

Do you save frequently? Frequent saving can result in long periods of unchanging weather because the weather "counter" resets whenever you save a game. Try playing until the weather changes (may take three or more days :x) and then save your game.
