View Full Version : Weight of the crew
A stupid question from my own stock! : the weight of the crew ( and so the number of the crew) has an incidence on the sub ?

It has been reported in the past that in putting as many crew as possible forrad, you can lessen the bow wave when running decks awash. It has further been reported/claimed that in behaving in a similar fashion you can make your boat submerge quicker.
Personally speaking, i am not convinced. :nope:

Get your stopwatch, and try crashdiving! :yep::up: I have tested this long time ago, and to me it seems like it actually makes a little difference. But still, i find it hard to believe that the devs could implement such a feature in SHIII......:hmm:

In any case when you run in normal conditions and find yourselfself under attack, i doubt anyone would have the time to move all free crewmembers to forward compartments. If it all this have any effect it wouldnt be of great importance.

Actually I think it does make a difference albeit a small one when you're in a DX2. double clicking the compartment to fill it up doesen't always guarantee that they will all show up but in a crash dive I have plenty of time to drag and drop the remainder. The only problem I have left is to watch the depth gauge so I don't do the dive of death!
FEED YOUR CREW MORE CHOCOLATE CAKE!!! :p
