Pacific Storm Aircraft controls

I'm learning Pacific Storm this weekend and going through aircraft tutorial. I notice when I select keyboard control I can use X and Z for yaw, it greatly improves coordinating my turns without stalling.

What I have found is when I switch to joystick I cant use X and Z and I don't know of anything on my joystick that controls yaw. Do I need to g by footpedals? anyone else run into this or is it just easier to use keyboard? thanks

nevermind, minutes after posting this, i figured it out.

If anyone out there uses a Saitek ST290 Pro stick, you have to twist the stick and that controls yaw. The flap in back of the stick controls thrust. The middle buttonbehind the trigger controls the torpedo. This game should be pretty smooth.
