In reality on a U-boat the fore and aft dive planes were not manned on the surface for obvious reasons, and the helm position was in the conning tower, usually upon diving two of the lookouts would jump straight onto the dive planes positions, My question is can this be done in the sim?, cos im transitting along on the surface sometimes and wondering why the hell are those two men are sat there.
Also are there any mods available for correct crew ranks, Junior ranks specializations stokers, seamen etc, and the navigator on most boats was a warrant officer.
