For me more time spent reading my books and less time on the Internet.

Trying to have less stress in my life.

I often find that staying away from the news keeps me happy. My resolution is to have no resolutions.

Several changes in my life in 2008: job will come to an end at the end of the year (really looking forward to it). Good friend has invited me to teach and train her two girls. Avoiding unhealthy people on the internet more consistently. Taking less care of news and politics. Reactivate my writing hobby, which had been put at rest for ten years now. My interest in computer, internet and games has decreased since two years - i do not plan to stop that trend.

I don't do the resolution thing, but 2008 will be a good year if I can coax a badger into a game of chess.

There has been only one new years resolution that ive ever made, and stuck with.

That resolution was to stop lying to by making new years resolutions i never follow through with.

For me 2007 has been one of the worst years if not thee worst year of my life, that i can remember, ive been ill through most of it, i lost my job my home my girl friend im in £6,000 worth of debt, im still ill ive lost so much wieght i went from being 12stone 2lbs down to just over 8 stone 8lbs (im about 9 stone now).
In this year ive lost alot of people who i loved and cared for, ive been in trouble more times than i can remember, ive come close to loosing my second job this year, i was turned down by the Royal Navy and also the Army.
A mate of mine ended in intencive care on the 24th of december cause 6 mindless people decided to beat him up for no reason and leave him for dead, ive learnd that my dad has an incurable heart problem and that the problem is also heriedtry, ive been blames for nearly everything that has gone wrong this year, ive crashed two lorries one just yesterday from this post.

So im saying UP YOURS 2007 roll on 2008 and in 2008 i will be following certain things.

Calm down and not stress so much
Acctually get into the RFA
Learn Krav Maga
Get a new girl friend
try and make a mends for what went wrong in 2007Just simple things though, and they are not unrealistic.

A lot of the S*it stuff you've gone thru rings bad bells for me too; I'm not going into detail as it comes across all wrong but here's my hopes for 2008 ..

1. To either get the job that I intended to do when I moved back to England for or beg for my old job back in Scotland and bust out of the rat race/S*it job that I've ended up with.
2. Get rid of the Debt which is worse now than what it was before I moved down.

I've sent you a [hopefully helpful] PM and I agree with Kiwi, you're far too young to be going thru all that stuff.
For me, at my age I should know better.

As I sit here with my mug of steaming coffee sitting out the dying days of 2007 looking back I can safely say from 2005 to 2007 they really stank for me for a number of reasons, so is there any hope of 2008 being better? Well I don't know, what I would say to everyone here is this, "Don't let the bastards grind you down and fight back against them."

I see no hope for this country what so ever, so the best thing to do is make the best of a rotten situation and smile. :)

Back on topic I got one more, cheer up and smile more. :D

2007 was the worst year in my life. I have a dissorder called Dysautonomia which got REALLY bad and caused me to end up on dissability since March. I've been hospitalised twice and owe a few grand to them. I lost my job because of this dissorder as well as my health insurance (Which I need for my many meds) and my wife and I are just barely struggleing to make ends meet. Things are slowly beginning to look up financially though as i just started getting my dissability checks (after they evaluated me and stalled for like 6 months:damn: )

My three resolutions for 2008 is:

1. Get myself a job that I can actually do. (Going through The Department of Rehabilitative Services to help me with that one).

2. Considering the lonliness of being home all the time with all my friends having moved away, and the fact that I'm not allowed to drive anymore due to faint risk, keeps me home all the time with no support group around me. I've decided to get myself into some local groups around here for stuff I'm interested in.

3. I'm starting a club for experimental musicians and artists this year. This will allow experimental artists to showcase their stuff to others who are interested in it. We can learn stuff from each other and we can attempt to grow an experimental art scene here in Connecticut (Where unless you're a mainstream art like rock, jazz, blues, portrait painting, dance, or performing in plays or musicals, you are effectively shut out of the art community).
I eventually want to expand it and do public workshops and performances as well. I already have a few local musicians and a small handfull of friends who are interested in going in on this with me and I've been researching funding for use later on if the group grows enough. At least even as a small club with only a few members, it will at least give these participating artists a forum to showcase their stuff and we can learn techniques and interesting things from each other.
