Hehe...SH4 with ROW, TM, RSRD, NSM has floating lights that originate from the light houses. Is this a known issue and if so which mod might be causing this?

Sounds like you need the CE3K Mod (Close Encounters of the Third Kind) :arrgh!:

No one has seen this??? hummm...

Im really not crazy! I really did see these lights fly around and I think they live in the light houses.....Ahh. The voices in my head will not shut up..hehe:p

It's uh... just... swamp gas. Yeah, that's it!


I haven't seen it around lighthouses. I did on one occasion have some odd lights appearing out in front of ships recently. Some blueish colored light floating along, and moving the camera around caused the light to move to different locations. It didn't seem to be directly related to any or the ship's lights.

Download the new one and that problem is gone.

#3b ROW_Object_Distance_and_Reflections_Plus_Searchlig hts_vs_5B (http://files.filefront.com/ROW+Object+Reflections+anbrar/;9293487;/fileinfo.html) This file has the distance of view enhanced for all shore based objects in the game to work with the new game engine capabilities and set up. Originaly all objects were set to 1 - 10 in min view distance now they are all at 500 so they can be seen about the same time land comes into full color view or close to it anyways. Also contains new work with search lights both ship and land based as well as light house lighting. Problems with the DC drops have been eliminated. Posted on 12/20/07

I acidently gave some weight to the light house lights and it made it operate under water instead of above water.

Download and use this one instead to solve te problem.

Made the same mistake as the lighthouses. Added a weight value to the funnel smoke so it stayed ocean level. there is a new download for that. But it will not be a final release as I am working on the other effects more. For now just a repair.



#6a ROW_Special_effects_with_Stock_zones_vs_5b (http://files.filefront.com/ROW+Special+Effects+with+brar/;9299621;/fileinfo.html) Nothing other than ROW textures is needed with this due to fire, smoke and oil slik texture dependancy.
This has been made 1.4 compatable due to changes in the zone's file with patch 1.4 changes. New Smoke effects also included. You can not use the NSM ship's with this! NSM changes the internal compartments of the ships and change the zone's file! 1.4 Compatable Posted on 12/21/07 This includes all slow smoke adjustments from much earlier mod's created. Contains the fix for the funnel smoke problem.

I am going further with the effects because I found new ways to extend out the muzzle blast effect of the bigger guns in the game for starters. As well as some more advanced work with the smoke and fire effects.

Hence the darker funnel smoke look on the ships and what not. But the first time I forgot to do a quality check in a good mission for it hence the first problems. Now I am heavily testing it before a new relase.
