Airships

I'm just curious if any of you have encountered any of those K Class blimps and taken it down with the deck gun or flak gun. I'd love to see the fireball that thing would make.:rock:

I beilve Jimbune posted a movie of one being shot down somewhere. Not much of a fireworks display though. They used Helium which did not explode in a fireball like Hydrogen.

Yep. Should be: gun makes hole; blimp deflates; blimp lands in water.

Mostly they stayed high enough that they couldn't be accurately aimed at, then they guided the destroyers in for the kill.
