Santa Claus came early:up: This is my new rig. I spent Sunday building it. It was a lot easier to build a computer than I thought. The crazy part was i had to drive 2 hours to find a motherboard replacement! Curse these small towns that don't carry real computer equipment. I built the whole thing for under $700 and it runs great.

AMD 4000 x2
nvidia 7000? 256 meg
2 gig ram
19 inch monitor
dvd recorder

Very sweet, congratulations! I bit the bullet myself earlier this week. After five long years, I will be switching from an Athlon XP 2500+ w/ 512mb RAM and a Radeon 9600 PRO to an Athlon 64 X2 4600+ w/ 2gb RAM and a "superclocked" Geforce 8600GT. That plus new power supply, motherboard, and SATA2 harddrive cost me $550 - including free shipping!
