Broken SH3+GWX 2.0 help needed

Ok here's the thing i installed GWX 2.0 freshly on a
new install of SH3 patched to 1.4b
everything worked like clockwork.

Started a new career and it worked, used the kiel kanal went to AN44 sunk a merchant, got half destroyed loosing ALOT of stuff on my little IIA boat,
both periscopes, antenna, rudder etc.

After this encounter ( got to port, dont know how i made it back tbh. )

i lowerd video to 60% and removed high texture.
added Lite harbor traffic, fancy damage texture ( cant remember what its called )
and das boot intro,

And i play another patrol, go back to port with no problems,
Then comes a problem was going to play a wolfpack, we are 3 people and we all disable ALL mods ( so no mods only gwx2 )

And just as we finish loading i keep getting booted from the game ( disconnects me and sinks my boat aswell? )

sit and tried to lower graphics turn off background stuff etc. rebooted twice aswell,

then now today when i launch game i load my career ( wich is in port ) i fix crews
and a set out. after finished loading the game is in pause mode, black screen exept
i see the hud and can move mouse and it reacts on background but NOTHING happens? and i cant unpause. i tested reinstall sh3 and gwx2 creating new career and now im out of ideas? anyone got a suggestion?

and please only reply if you have an idea on how to solve it, not to gloat or feel sorry or somthing else ! if you feel like you need to say something else then a suggestion on how to solve this pm me instead thank you in advance !

Firstly......nobody from GWX is about to gloat or take the proverbial :nope: We pride ourselves in the technical support we have always, and still continue to provide the masses out there who play our mod :yep:

You make reference to a three member wolfpack......I presume your referring to a MP game (I have also observed you on the GWX TS server in the MP channel).
You must all have identical installations.....are you the game host ?

What is this 'fancy damage texture' ?
Is it a mod that came with GWX, or is it something you have added yourself in addition to GWX ? :hmm:

I beleive he's talking about the Enhanced Damage Effects mod that came with GWX2.

First off no i didnt refer to the GWX team becouse i love you guys and thanks for a
really splendid and accurate mod. Second, as i said we all had disabled our other mods ( i were using only gwx2 stock mods that came with the package.)

1. Das Boot intro.
2. Enhanced damage effects.
3. Harbor lite traffic.
and we all disabled them ( it worked for them but i got kicked out all the time )
i thought it was just me being slowass loading but i cant even start a career right now
so i figured it has to be something corrupt somewhere?
p.s. i did a md5 check after to make sure installation files were clean and they
were in perfect condition !

going to reinstall again on another hdd ( have now cleaned temp foldrs and removed sh3 from win reg )

We tried first with #1 hosting 3 times ( same problem everytime )
then i tried hosting same problem here. and i say again i got disconnected
there were no CTD's involved.. ( we had a random ctd but that was with a specific scenario cant recall wich though...

LASTLY......AFTER YOU THINK YOU'VE UNINSTALLED EVERYTHING, put the game disc in your pc and perform the uninstall operation before you attempt ant installation process. :up:

So i did
have now installed the game again and applied GWX 2.0

this time ill run with no mods then gwx booting and testing right now

Ok, first off let's clear this up:

1) Your campaign was working fine, with no mods.
2) Your campaign was working fine, with GWX official mods.

then

3) MP was not working at all. You kept getting disconnected. With all mods disabled.

and finally

4) After trying MP, your campaign will not work.

Is that about it?:hmm:

First thing that comes to mind is:

Are you, or anyone you play with, using SH3 Commander?

Did you Roll it back before adding or removing mods?

Do you have the proper SH3Cmdr Cfg files?

If you are sure that you had a 100% clean & unmolested install of GWX and MP still crashed/disconnected. Someone you were playing with did not. Also, if your net connection is not fast enough, you can be disconnected that way too.

NOTE - BTW, there are no LOW RES textures in GWX to use, so do not use this option in SH3.;)

Well that sums it up good,
not sure about the other ppl but i am not using sh3cmd
was thinking of using it but cant be asked.

starting new career to see if it works,

oh yeah just to be clear as crystal

i can start a new patrol/mission but i am stuck in "paused" and cannot "unpause"
and the screen is black ( gadgets working/popups such as the compass to the right
and meny to the left but cannot click on anything )

But im guessing something got fked up when i disabled the mods so it got corrupt
threw me into pause mode and becouse i am in paused and the others are not
it registers me as out of sync and boots me from the game.
