Not sure how a group for the ethical treatment of animals can kill so many themselves. Hypocrites.

7 Things You Didn't Know About PETA
1) PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has described her group’s overall goal as “total animal liberation.” This means no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no wool, no leather, no hunting, no fishing, and no pets (not even seeing-eye dogs). PETA is also against all medical research that requires the use of animals.
2) Despite its constant moralizing about the “unethical” treatment of animals by restaurant owners, grocers, farmers, scientists, anglers, and countless other Americans, PETA has killed over 14,400 dogs and cats at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters. During 2005, PETA put to death over 90 percent of the animals it collected from members of the public.
3) PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) activist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing recommendation, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. And PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich told an animal rights convention in 2001 that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation.”
4) PETA activists regularly target children as young as six years old with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda, often waiting outside their schools to intercept them as they walk to and from class-without notifying parents. One piece of kid-targeted PETA literature tells small children: “Your Mommy Kills Animals!” PETA brags that its messages reach over 2 million children every year, including thousands reached by e-mail without the permission of their parents. One PETA vice president told the Fox News Channel’s audience: “Our campaigns are always geared towards children, and they always will be.”
5) PETA has used a related organization, the PETA Foundation, to fund the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a deceptive animal rights group that promotes itself as an unbiased source of medical and nutritional information. PCRM's president also serves as president of the PETA Foundation.
6) PETA runs campaigns seemingly calculated to offend religious believers. One entire PETA website is devoted to the claim-despite ample evidence to the contrary-that Jesus Christ was a vegetarian. PETA holds protests at houses of worship, even suing one church that tried to protect its members from Sunday-morning harassment. Its billboards taunt Christians with the message that hogs “died for their sins.” PETA insists, contrary to centuries of rabbinical teaching, that the Jewish ritual of kosher slaughter shouldn't be allowed. And its infamous “Holocaust on Your Plate” campaign crassly compares the Jewish victims of Nazi genocide with farm animals.
7) PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, because they support animal-based research that might uncover cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.”

About #4 If that is the case then these people need to contact the local police at once.
I already know that PETA is a sick organization.
But then again they are a union. Not a job union obviously but the aspects are the same. People need to shun these horried organizations.
Unions are a serious problem for this country they are costing us our jobs and our spirit. We can't do anything anymore without some damned union sticking its nose into somthing it has no buisness in or doing large actions to disrupt the economy.

Well, the FBI already has them on terrorists watch list, so I think they are not being ignored.

Pointless list! If I am correct the same one that is getting fire all over the place.
PETA can't be defeated by any .gov entity it must be defeated by people turning their backs on those freaks. Perhaps in the fusion age people will get out of the depression they have been in (resulting in them caring more for animals than humans) and stop supporting this outrageous union.
Perhaps other unions will also break up when people say that enough is enough with this mafia style crap.
It reflects poorl on humanity that more money is dontated to animals than humans.

PETA's a joke and almost everyone knows it. There are six billion people in the world, and the vast majority of them eat meat products. Barring a mass catastrophe or legitimate scientific proof that eating and/or wearing animal products is dangerous, I don't see an end to carnivorism among people anytime soon.

I agree. PETA is a joke, with a bunch of lunatics within it's ranks. The problem is nutty people jump on these causes, which are well intended, and take them to utter extremes. Often deluding themselves to believe things which aren't true nor reasonable. I agree with Letum and Subman1 that it is a shame that more money is donated to animal causes than human interests. But still, I don't think that it is wrong to hope that animals are treated humanely. I'm not talking the meat industry either. I spit on the jerks who run animal rings, those who abuse animals for the sake of some twisted and sick activity, etc. I'm not gonna quit eating porterhouse steaks, chicken, or fish. But ensuring animals across the board are cared for correctly and protected from wanton abuse doesn't seem unreasonable at all. Too bad groups like PETA turn animal protection into some sort of looney joke.
And no, I don't consider myself some sort of animal "activist". Not part of any group. Just don't like to see animals abused.

That is what Unions do however. The job unions started to remove horrid work conditions and today they have gotten so big and corrupt that they have turned the job market into a sick joke.
Same with with other types of unions.
Down with these unions!

If PETA members are so against using animal for product and medical testing, I think they should be allowed to stand up and take the animals place! :D Might as well save a rat or two, no?

Penn & Teller did an BS episode on PETA which went through all the facts listed. I suggest everyone try to find a copy (or link) because it's certainly worth viewing.
If they spent less money on fanatical protests and more on caring for the animals they take in I assume they wouldn't need to murder so many animals themselves.
Luckily we have a group called RSPCA here so there is no place for such a moonbat organisation.
