The title is pretty self-explanatory - I'm in CN39 near Malta in November '41 and being harrassed by Catalinas, Ansons and so on which (I'm pretty sure) shouldn't be there. I'd like to grease the airbase and I'd be very grateful for some tips or instructions. Cheers.

Hmmm how to get rid of Malta's airfield?
Tricky one, Hilter and Mussolini both tried and failed!

U-boats were equipped with cruise missiles (modified V-1's in this case I'd guess)?
Tell Musulini to send a Balbo of bombers then watch them get shot down through your observation periscope.

If you must.
Delete the airbase from the LND campaign file. Use the Mission Ed.

make a backup somewhere of a copy of the lnd layer in
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Campaigns\Campa ign
once backed up
open mission editor and open the lnd layer via the same path above.
zoom in on malta
click on the base
hit delete.
save.
if you ever want it back just replace the lnd layer with the back
up copy
that should work however a word of caution
I have not tried this on 2.0 and as there are changes
to the campaign layer structures included with the
2.0 expansion there may be something Im not aware
of yet that is relevant
you may want to consult bbw prior to proceeding with
the above method.

You don't need to worry about it. The luftwaffe is going to pound the crud out of Malta, and I have it on good authority that we will invade. Surely it will be under our control by mid '42.
And we must not discount the huge navy of our Italian allies. Even before we invade, they will starve that little island out of existance.
You must have more confidence in the obvious superiority of our forces.

If we fire enough torpedoes at that little island, eventually we'll sink it !!!!

Any island with a name that sounds like a type of soft drink should be torpedoed until it sinks !!! If we all drive past it every mission and hit it with one torpedo each.. eventually... she's going down !
I wonder how much tonnage Malta is worth ?:hmm:

Call to the luftwaffe boys. perhaps could be possible launch airborne troops in malta in a "All or nothing action" with a lot of air support , or carpet bombing until level the island.
in dangerous waters is easy, launching a missile... but it´s is the WW2..:88)

In WW2 terms you need Operation Herkules, the plan for the Axis airborne invasion of Malta, which was cancelled after Rommel took Tobruk. One of WW2 history's great 'what-ifs?'

Oh how I can remember Combat Flight Simulator 3's dynamic campaign mode with all sorts of "what-if" questions and how the outcome of the war was even changed for me on occasion.

Bad decision, later, Malta ,was decisive in the supply lines of Rommel later in the war, also the operation could cut the allied shipping between gibraltar and alexandria.
