I could see this in the next Jame Bond film. They sold everything for the grand adventure. Ok, once done, then what? Broke now! Sell the boat or donate to museum?

Ok scary beyond belief is the word I found for these morons.
liposuction is what the big dogs in money and prestiege do. They are promoting an unhealty choice just to gain a retarted 15km? What is wrong with them?
Their stupid stunt will only continue to prove why bio fuels are just as horrid as the black texas tea they dispise.
Oh but it comes from a plant or a pig! It must be clean and good! They say.. Well I invite them to check out the refining methods and the crap they add to this supposed green fuel.
The not-for-profit project aims to promote awareness of the environment and the sustainable use of resources.
Promote awareness of the environment by racing around the world in powerboats? Are these people for real? And I suppose it doesn't use any lubricants at all in it's engine, doesn't pump any bilge and used no fuel whatsoever in being built? What a bunch of dickheads.
Have these people heard of sails?
:D Chock
On the face of it, it looks like a poor idea to me, but I don't that that having a poor idea
warrants calling them "morons", "dickheads" and "retarded".
There are worse things you can do than sail in expensive, pretentious boats.

The fact that they are using HUMAN fat for part of the range warrants that and a host of other terms.
Insanity comes to mind as the first term to use.

Genius. They have found a use for "overpopulation". Now we don't need abortions anymore. Actually, aborting should be made a crime punishable by death, because if you deny us the fat from your baby, we shall take your own in turn.
The oil crisis has been solved.
I do have a question, however:
Earthrace is fuelled on 100 per cent biodiesel and has a net zero carbon footprint.
How can this be, if the people who donated the fat have farted all their lives? Anything that runs on human is highly carbonic, we're a carbon-based life form afterall.

Eco-boat powered by human fat...

ooops excuse meeee,

Well, all the carbon we exhale and excrete has come from plants originally that have
taken it out of the atmosphere.
That could be a closed carbon cycle, so humans, cows and termites don't really cause
additional atmospheric CO2 via their biological functions.
Of course, that's totally academic.
I could have eaten that fat.

Over the top?
Is the fact that these people are partially using HUMAN FAT not sending up red flags all over the place?
I can hardly believe even tho eco-manics could find this acceptable. This is liposuction we are talking about here!
Had this been somthing like. "Human energy through excersize will be used to charge several gel batteries to run the electrical equipment. The reason is that of burning pounds as a message to people all over to live a healty lifestyle and be proud doing it. On top of using the 2 small mechanical systems, part of the hull will be lined with solar systems recently developed as an alternative to their expensive counterparts"
Then I would have been happy to see them do it.

That is not the point. Its the promotion of an unhealthy choice because they think that this so called Green Fuel is the best thing since sliced bread.
And then burning it in the engine! I almost want to puke thinking about the exhaust being refined burnt human fat particles.

I'm not quite sure why you're getting so angry about it. They're not really promoting an unheathly choice, just using a fuel source that isn't really being used for anything else.
I don't think people will look at it and say 'Oh, they can use human fat for fuel, sod it i'll eat whatever I like'
