Might sound stupid, but do I just D/L the 1.4 patch for the stock game, or should I get all 4 of them?

My christmas present is waiting in the dvd drive, hehe.

Maybe not so stupid though- I've come across a few times that you need cumulative patches.

1.4 covers all other patches.
So you only have to use patch 1.4

Or so they say, but I'm always one of those guys that will reload everything. Restart your computer after each upgrade to make sure all is well.

See your coming from SH3, enjoy SH4, be patient with it, it is a different experience\game than SH3, in time it is going to be a great one :yep:

Instructions for patch 1.4 specifically say it includes the contents of all other patches. That is how I installed it and everything works.

Not to mention that in some games, if you tried to apply the latest patch if an older patch had already been installed, you'd get a corrupted game and had to reinstall from scratch *coughMedieval2cough*! :huh::o:dead:

Not necessary with SH4. The latest patch on default game will have best results. If you've modded your game, the results can be unpredictable.
